The Brothers Grimm

For millennia, elders have been teaching children about the world outside of their doors, hoping to keep them safe from real dangers through the lessons of fairy tales. In the early 1800s brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm set about collecting these stories before they were lost to history. Thanks to their work, the tales have endured. They have changed with the times, been sanitized somewhat, yet still hold their appeal through the generations. Today on The Score, we’re looking at the metamorphosis of folktale to film with movies including Snow White and the Huntsman, Puss in Boots, Maleficent and more.
